Our website address is https://www.regionalwebdeveloper.com.au. We provide different tiers of online membership to a regional digital community. We offer services from most of our members directly to the public from regional agencies and freelancers. Our own services are offered to freelancers and agencies to help service their customers.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

What information do we collect?

There is a great deal of information we need to collect form you for your freelancer, business or agency profile.

  • You voluntarily provide this to us when you register on the website for a membership.
  • Depending on the area you are within on the website depends on the type of information collected. This includes personal address information to projects for your portfolio.
  • We have to collect your personal information such as address and email for billing purposes but adddress may not be used for mapping purposes. This is requested elsewhere within your vetting process.
  • Any payment information we request such as credit card is directly sent through our Stripe gateway and is not stored by RWD specifically other than a transaction.
  • Please ensure you provide accurate inforamtion that is not misleading for us or for other members of the community.
  • We do collect IP address informaiton for the purposes of detecting SPAM and other bad misuse of services.
  • We use cookies to detect things such as how many times you've visited. If we should show you a marketing campaign or if you have an existing login session.
  • Device information such as the browser and the hardware being used by you is also collected for our analytics so that we can see any issues with hour the site is being used by different devices as well as if there is any opportunities to target platforms better.
  • All of your address or locaiton information is voluntary and you should choose to input this information at your own risk. if you are listing a home address as a freelancer you may want to provide a more generic address within the same town/city. While this could be found to be misleading it is for your own privacy that we care about and take very seriously.
